TAMIL NADU PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION NOTIFICATION

ADVERTISEMENT NO. 177

Application are invited upto 5.45 pm on 24.12.08 for direct recruitment to the vacancies for the following posts included in the Tamil Nadu Medical Service (Service Code No. 048):-

• Assistant Surgeon (General): Post- 756
• Assistant Surgeon (Specialty): Post- 333

Scale of pay: Rs. 8000-275-13500/- per mensem.

Educational Qualification:

• Assistant Surgeon (General): (i) Must possess the degree of MBBS of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant or the DM & S of the government of Tamil Nadu (ii) Must be a Registered Medical Practitioner within the meaning of the Madras Medical Registration Act, 1914
• Assistant Surgeon (Specialty): Must possess the Post Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma in the concerned Specialties, in addition to the qualifications referred to against (i) & (ii) above
