Direct Recruitment of Sportspersons against Sports Quota on Western Railway for the year 2011-12

Applications are invited from eligible sports persons for the following sports disciplines for Group 'C' and Group 'D' posts on Western Railways.

• Group C : 03 Posts
• Pay Scale: PB 1 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay 2400 / 2800/-
• Qualification: Graduate.
• Sports Achievements :
• Represented the Country in Olympic Games OR
• Represented the Country in the World Cup (Junior/ Senior)/ World Championships (Junior/Senior)/ Asian Games (Senior) / Commonwealth Games (Senior) and obtained at least 3rd position.
• Group C: 09 Posts
• Pay Scale: PB 1 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay 1900 / 2000/-
• Qualification: Minimum SSC / Matriculate.
• Sports Achievements :
• Represented the Country in the World Cup (Junior/ Senior), World Championships (Junior/Senior), Asian Games (Senior) &Commonwealth Games (Senior)OR
• Represented the country in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior)/ Asian Championship/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior)/ USIC (World Railways) Championship(Senior) andobtained at least 3rd position. OR
• Represented a State or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships and obtained at least 3" Position OR
• Representeda State in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association and obtained at least 3rd position OR
• Represented a University in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities and obtained at least 3" positionOR
• Represented a State or equivalent Unit in Federation Cup Championships (Senior category) and obtained 1stposition.
• Group D: 14 Posts
• Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.1800/-
• Qualification: Minimum SSC / Matriculate.
• Sports Achievements :
• Represented the country in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior)/ Asian Championship /Asia Cup(Junior/Senior)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior)/ USIC (World Railways) Championship(Senior) OR
• Represented a State or equivalent Unit in Federation Cup Championships (Senior category) and at least obtained 3rdposition. OR
• Represented a State or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR
• Represented all Units or District of the State in the Senior State Championship and obtained atleast 3rd Position.

Sports Disciplines: Athletics (Men, Women), Cricket (Men), Volleyball (Men, Women), Kabaddi (Men, Women), Weightlifting, Football (Men)

Age Limit: 18 - 25 years as on 01.01.2012.
