INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF)

Indian Air Force (IAF) invites applications from unmarried male candidates for selection test in November 2009 to join as Airman in Group 'X' (Technical) Trades.

Qualification : Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/ with pass marks in Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in overall aggregate. OR Three years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile / Computer science / Instrumentation Technology) from a Government recognised Polytechnic / Institute with at least 50% marks.

Age : 17 to 22 Years. Born between 01 January 1989 and 28 February 1993 (both date inclusive)

Medical Standards : Height :Minimum acceptable height : 152.5 cm, Chest : Minimum range of expansion : 5 cm, Vision : 6/36 each eye., Correctable with spectacles : at least 6/9 each eye., Diopteric power : not exceeding +3.5

Training : Initial Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) will be provided at Airmen Training School, Belgaum (Karnataka) for 12 weeks. After it Trade Training will be provided.

Geologist Examination-2009 - UPSC

UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC)

GEOLOGISTS' EXAMINATION , 2009

The Union Public Service commission will hold the Geologists' Examination 2009 commencing from 5th December, 2009 for recruitment to Geologist (Junior), Group A and Assistant Geologist Grade-I, Group B in the Geological Survey of India and Jr. Hydro geologists (Scientist B) Group A in the Central Ground Water Board. The examination will be held at various centers across the country.

Conditions of Eligibility

Age Limits: Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st January, 2009. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per Govt. of India rules.

Educational Qualifications:

A candidate must hold (i) Master's Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognised University or (ii) Master's Degree in Mineral Exploration or (iii) Master's Degree in Hydrology or (iv) Diploma of Associate ship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for Indian Geologist's Examination, 2009 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

Address and Last date for Receipt of Applications : All applicants must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service commission, Dholpur house, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post only or by Courier, on or before 20.07.2009. For candidates of far-flung areas and abroad the last date is 27.07.2009.
